Pearl Harbor Day 81st Anniversary
Dec 07, 2022On this day in 1941 the tide of a war was changed and millions of lives were impacted. I have been fortunate in my lifetime to have met and talked with many of those who fought on the various fronts of the war as well as several "Rosie the riveters" who left their homes, learned new skills and supported the war effort from here on the home front.
As a veteran, military history has always been a favorite subject, each new book or story is a new perspective. I was stationed on Oahu and have seen the Pearl Harbor memorial a couple of times, it's beauty and sadness is overwhelming.
